I have been working at API for 20 years now. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of DuPage. I teach 3-5 year olds  Monday -  Friday mornings. Every year I take the CPR/First Aid class and earn 15 hours of Early Childhood in-service hours.  I have so much fun working with 3 & 4 year olds.  It is so amazing watching them grow and learn over the year.

I currently teach the four/five year olds on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  On Tuesday and Thursday mornings I work three year olds. I have an associates degree from Harper College and a B.S. degree in education from Winona State University. I continue to attend educational workshops and seminars that specialize in early childhood education.  After working here for 16 years, I still love getting a new class each year and being able to watch them learn and grow.

I started teaching at Algonquin Preschool in 2001.  I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for 20+ years (oh-oh, my age is showing!). My formal education has included courses at College of DuPage and Elgin Community College, as well as many conferences, seminars and classes in Early Childhood Education. While I consider this education invaluable, the most exciting education that I have received is from the many years of working with young children! There is nothing that can be compared to seeing a world through a child's eyes!  I truly believe in the Algonquin Preschool, I am proud to be associated with Algonquin preschool and look forward to a long relationship with the staff, parents and the children here at the school.

After being in the corporate industry for over 20 years, I decided to stay home with my 3 kids after my youngest was born in 2016. Now he has started kindergarten this year, and I started working at Algonquin Preschool. Two of my 3 kids also attended Algonquin Preschool and absolutely loved it. The teachers and the staff are all so welcoming and amazing. I love coming to work and seeing all the children each day. It’s so fun to watch them learn and grow and see their imaginations at work. I currently am working with the 4-5 year olds on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I do also work with the 3-4 year olds on Thursdays as well. I’m also first aid and CPR Certified and have taken 20 in service hours pertaining to Early Childhood Education. I am very grateful to still have Algonquin Preschool in my life and feel very lucky that I am able to work at such a great school.

I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University. I went on to teach in a non-for-profit child care center for 16 years. I left my position there to care for my 2 daughters who are now in college! I have been teaching at a local preschool before joining Algonquin Preschool. I am very passionate about teaching. I am also compassionate and dedicated to your children. I continue to grow throughout the year by taking courses dedicated to teaching and caring for young children. I am CPR and First Aid certified along with holding 20 plus hours of continuing education. There is nothing better than to see the children smiling and learning through play and peer interaction! I am very excited to be apart of Algonquin Preschool!

This is my first year working at Algonquin Preschool and I have enjoyed my time here immensely. My son attended here for two years and is now in kindergarten. My daughter now attends Algonquin Preschool and we have both had so much fun starting this new journey together. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, although this is my first time formally being in a classroom. I spent almost 10 years working in an office environment and then moved onto real estate part time while staying home with my young children. I am First Aid and CPR certified and  taking continuing education courses. Now that my children are getting older I am excited to have new opportunities and am so thankful for what the preschool has done for our family.

I started working at Algonquin Preschool in 2022.  I work in the Ladybug Room on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.  I am First Aid and CPR certified and every year I complete 20 hours

in Early Education classes. I really enjoy working with children, I have three of my own. I really enjoy working with preschool age children. It is such a pleasure to watch how they use their imagination, experience their excitement, and learn through play.  I love watching them grow and see their independence build through out the year.  Algonquin Preschool has a wonderful program and teachers. I  am happy to work at such a great preschool
